Colton Stewart, Owner
At a very young age, Colton discovered his passion for building and creating things. With the influence of his Uncle Steve, this passion quickly turned into junkyard rebuilds, drag racing, & welding. The two rebuilt a minibike and continued to work on various projects over time. As Colton entered high school he took on rebuilding his great-grandfather's 1985 GMC Sierra. It was torn down in the back drive, rebuilt, and painted in a makeshift paint booth in the shed. After graduating from high school in 2008, the Stewart family relocated to Augusta, Kansas.
Colton attended McPherson College and studied automotive restoration and business with the intention of opening his own shop. In 2011, 615 State Street in downtown Augusta, KS became the home of Stewart Customs and Restorations. In 2013, after graduating from McPherson, Colton opened his shop. Colton’s goal is to create high-quality, by-hand, customs for his clients to enjoy by using the best techniques and quality products.
